Hunt

The 500-hectare historic Duttenstein Game Park is located in the east of the Swabian Alb in the border region between Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria. It was established around Duttenstein Castle in 1817 because the wild game population had to be reduced due to excessive damage to the fields and the threat of a peasant uprising.

Game population

We are proud of our large game population, which made the area of the charming Grießbuckellandschaft an interesting hunting ground for the European nobility as early as the Middle Ages. Today, the area still harbours a diverse population of game, including fallow deer, mouflon and wild boar, which guarantees first-class hunting results.

We continue this tradition and see the historic game park as an important area for cultivating hunting culture and sharing the passion for hunting with others. Today, hunters have the opportunity to book guided stalks and hunts for fallow deer and mouflon or to take part in social hunts. The hunting lodge is available for a cosy end to the hunt. Our hunting team looks forward to your enquiry.
