At the heart of the former hunting castle, the glass-covered renaissance courtyard offers a large and adaptable space for a variety of uses. Festive banquets, family brunches, receptions, concerts, and other large gatherings all come to life in this unique and versatile setting.

Following restorations lasting over one year, the 18th-century frescoes in the state rooms were restored to their former glory. The far-reaching views over forests and meadows create the perfect atmosphere for creative hours.
The rooms are suitable as meeting areas with a long table and as breakout or group spaces, as well as for receptions and festive dinners.
The castle’s kitchen right next to the covered courtyard is perfect for cooking together, cooking courses with experts, or watching the chef prepare your food.
The island and furnishings are made out of local oak from the estate’s forest, reflecting the regional and specially tailored cuisine offered at Schloss Duttenstein.

The Gaudeamus Lodge is a separate building located at the foot of the hill, featuring glass fronts, an indoor fireplace and a spacious terrace. Its rustic atmosphere makes it a memorable place for celebrations or for inspiring creativity during business events.
Directly adjacent to Schloss Duttenstein, the castle meadow blends harmoniously into an impressive landscape of forests, meadows and stream valleys. The castle courtyard expands the bookable outdoor areas of the estate with an atmospheric space set within the historic ensemble. As an additional event location, it is ideally suited for open-air gatherings or events hosted in a tent. Whether for larger groups, corporate functions or private celebrations such as weddings, the castle courtyard provides a distinctive setting where the unique atmosphere of the castle can be experienced directly.
500 hectares of forests, meadows and stream valleys surround the castle and create an atmosphere of tranquil calm. The interplay of woodland, open meadows and water areas has made the Duttenstein Wildlife Park renowned far beyond the district borders as a natural gem. Visitors to the park can encounter free-ranging fallow deer, wild boar and mouflon.
Your guests can stay in the 9 rooms in the castle as well as in the 7 rooms of the neighbouring former Hunter’s House. Additional guests can be comfortably accommodated in our partner hotels, which are conveniently connected through a shuttle service. For your arrival, a helicopter landing area is available, and ample parking spaces are located below the castle.
